My Favorite book from childhood

Daily writing prompt
Do you remember your favorite book from childhood?

I usually write a daily prompt in wordpress if I really like the topic. If the topic didn’t catch my attention in 3 seconds, then I moved out of the website and the word “Book” is enough to catch my attention. So here I am, before going to put my son to sleep, I decided to share my view on the topic.

When I am trying to recall if I have read any books in my childhood apart from academic books, I can’t remember much. Because I didn’t get much opportunity to read any novels. Our school lacked a library with decent books. Yet I remember reading children’s monthly magazine “Mina bazar” which came in language odia and I was having monthly subscription for the same. So I read lots of mythological stories, grandma stories and moral stories from them. I loved to solve the dot puzzle from the book. Every Saturday, the newspaper had a kids section which was full of children’s stories, jokes and important life lessons. I read them all. So even if I was not aware of my passion for reading during my childhood, I still read bits and pieces till I became a voracious reader.

To know more about how I started my reading journey, please check the link out. I have already shared it in a different article named “My journey to the world of books”.

Well, I haven’t covered the topic yet. My favorite book I would say the one book with which I started my novel journey is none other than “The Da Vinci Code” by Dan Brown. It was my first 600 pages of reading and I haven’t stopped reading and exploring the books yet. I haven’t read it in my childhood, but as I mentioned my past on reading books, this is the one I would say which will count for the topic.
