List three books that have had an impact on you. Why?

I have converted my habit of reading books into a passion since the past 3 years. I love to indulge myself into the world of the book in my spare time and sometimes during the weekend it would be a book marathon. Netflix and other TV series are not exciting enough for me to come out of the book and watch them. So among all the books that I have read till today, I would love to specify 3 books which either shattered me or gave me immense pleasure that I would love to read them for the first time again.

  1. Eleanear Oliphant is completely fine By Gail Honeyman-

This book has tremendous healing power. This book includes humor, fun, contentedness, and friendship with a strong social message. The storyline is so solid that by the end of the book I was forced to think what has really happened from the start and it runs a chill in my spine. Very lovely book. I would recommend everyone to read once.

Here is my review link if anyone wants to know more about it.

  1. Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros –

This is the best fantasy book ever. The book is full of power and magic. Dragons are the main attraction and trust me you can not ignore the male protagonist Xaden in the book. The sizzling romance between Xaden and Violet is beyond anyone’s imagination and it made me fall in love with both the characters. Friendship, betrayal, hatred, defense, sibling goal, love life and magic. This book is a complete package.

  1. The stationary shop of Tehran by Marjan Kamali –

The book is based on 1953 in Tehran, Iran where people were entangled with the political outrage. During the peak moment Roya met Bahman in a stationery shop. The love for books made them come to closure and get engaged to each other until everything shattered. The book spans over 60 years and it showcased the life of Roya and the people she met after the unfortunate and heart broken event when Bahman went missing before their wedding. It made me heart broken and I was continuously crying while reading the book. Very much emotional with a closure at the end. Even though nothing was right for Roya, she could find her path and lead a happy life. While writing this I feel the same emptiness what Roya felt when Bahman left because of interference from their close ones behind their backs. Still it hurts. One of the best read I would say.

Sorry but I’m a very picky reader. I don’t enjoy wasting my reading time with authors who use ‘filler garbage’ to puff up page totals. Also really dislike when many authors use names for characters’ pets. It’s confusing to follow a line like, “meanwhile ‘Jack-pit bull’ became really agitated.” or “Angel- cat” sprawled on the bed invitingly and purred. Prefer memorising only the human character names.
